Our Process

Through the tendering and negotiating of new work, we work to take on custom architectural woodworking projects at fair prices, with schedules that we will deliver on time, every time.

Our shop drawings are consistently the best in the industry. This step, which our competitors often skip, or spend minimal time showing accurate details, elevations and sections, is the key to answering all questions regarding construction methods, materials, finishes, hardware, sizes and detail, and is a critical stage for the success of any project. For a Vancouver woodworking company such as Benchmark, there are industry architectural woodworking standards that must be met, but we prefer to strive for perfection as our own minimum standard.

The first step in production is the accurate procurement of materials, on time to meet the required schedule. Next comes shop production, with impeccable drawings and the correct materials at hand. Our shop work is scheduled with the delivery to site date already set in stone. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and highly talented and trained people, every project is completely pre-assembled in the shop, so when it’s delivered to the site, it fits precisely every time.

On-site installation is completed by our experienced installers that know our drawings and our methods inside out. They have the tools, knowledge and expertise to install every job on time, correctly the first time. Any deficiencies are resolved before leaving the site. Our minimum standard is zero deficiencies. View our list of our AWMAC Awards, where we have been recognized many times over the years for our architectural woodworking standards of excellence.

At the completion of each project, close-out documentation, all required manuals, warranty inspections and certificates are promptly provided to each client.
